In our passionate pursuit of efficient methods, alongside our proprietary product development, we have also adapted two algorithms to meet our process needs. The pending, international patent for Belter also includes algorithms for stacking and delivering.
Geo-clustering Algorithm
Alongside the adapted stacking algorithm, we have also adapted the geo-clustering algorithm. This algorithm calculates the allocation of Belter Boxes (containing consumer’s parcels) to their relevant stacks for that day’s delivery. The calculation is geared to balance two criteria: volume efficiency and our customer promise: pick-up and returns at slipper distance.
Belter Stacking Algorithm
Our adaptation of the Bin Packing algorithm is at the core of the CityHub software. It calculates the most efficient way to stack Belter Boxes while using as little volume as possible.
Belter Boxes can be stacked with 4,3 or 2 sided access to meet the requirements of the physical location where the stack will be delivered. For example, a Belter Stack on a sidewalk can have 4 side accessibility, but when placed against a wall it can have 3 sided access.
For an operator in a City Hub this algorithm ensures they are shown the exact pattern the Belter Boxes should be stacked, for any situation. This not only saves time, but also ensures the most efficient Belter Stack compositions for each delivery.

The Belter mobile app for consumers is built with ease and simplicity in mind and focuses on our core promise: collect and return parcels at slipper distance.
Open Belter Boxes with a simple tap.
With the Belter App, users can choose to pick-up or return a parcel.
With Belter pick-ups, users will be notified when their parcel is on the way, and once it has arrived. This way, they are up-to-date on the status, and can pick-up their parcel at their convenience.
With Belter returns, the consumer requests an empty Belter Box of the appropriate size and reserve the box for their return within a given timeframe.
And, in the event that consumers don’t want another mobile app, our app is also integrated with App Clip (for iOS devices) and Instant App (for Android devices). So, regardless of their preferred method, consumers can open Belter Boxes instantly with secure mobile key technology.
